- The 1985 film “Back to the Future”, directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Steven Spielberg, is considered a cult classic of the 1980s. This sci-fi movie with an imaginative storyline and groundbreaking special effects transported audiences past and present on a unique adventure. In this presentation, we’ll take a step back to give a brief summary of the film and examine how this work helped shape the culture of the 1980s. The film stars Michael Fox as Marty McFly, a 17-year-old teenager who travels back in time in a DeLorean and Christopher Lloyd as Emmett Brown, a mad scientist. They are the two main heroes of this incredible adventure that begins in 1985, in Hill Valley, a small quiet town in California. Doc wants to build a time machine. Once the last preparations are completed, Marty sits in the DeLorean and finds himself projected in 1955. There he meets a young Doc, and finds himself struggling with a series of time paradoxes. Meanwhile, the old Doc tries to bring him back to 1985. With the help of his loyal travel companion, Marty discovers that he can change his past and thus influence his present and future. Back to the future is actually a trilogy so you can continue to follow Doc and Marty’s adventures on 2 more films. Why did I choose this film ? I chose this film because it is a film that I really like and I think that everybody should watch it because it is a good film.
